Last November, I attended the ISCA (International Society of Caricature Artists) convention. I had a blast connecting and learning with other caricature artists. If you are a caricature artist you should definitely go! If you aren't, you can always attend as a non artist member. It's worth it to see all of the styles and skills on display. ![]() Here are some of my caricatures I drew over the week. A herd of caricature artists drawing!

Yarrgh, here are some pictures of the pirate festival I attended last year. My caricature vessel was christened "Ye Olde Funny Portraits" for this journey.
Here is a selection of photos over the photos I've taken over the summer.
It's been a busy summer! The first couple of photos were taken at Asheville's Art in the Park. The guy with the interesting facial was drawn at the Secret City Festival in Oakridge. Fun fact, his uncle actually wrote a book on caricatures. The final photo is of my mobile setup at Knoxville's Dogwood Arts festival. Technically that was in the spring, but you won't hold that against me right? Hello!
I'm currently in the process of rebranding my website from Ryan Illustrated to Caricatures Unleashed! What does this mean? It means this sight will have a tighter focus on caricature artwork instead of just being a general art portfolio. Plus, the website will also have more information on how to book me as an "entertaining artist" for parties and festivals. I will be posting photos here of my gigs and festivals, along with my general thoughts and feelings to this blog too! See you guys later. --Ryan |
